Hey there, and welcome!

Sailor Kate Ashley (She/Her/Hers), is currently based in NYC and earning a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre and minor in Arts and Entertainment Management from Pace University this spring. Sailor Kate is a double first name — think Mary Kate of the Olsen Twins. That’s mostly what she goes by, but friends call her “Skate!”

Raised on the southeast coast of Florida, she became fascinated with fairies at five, shaping her artistry by encouraging her to see magic in the mundane. By ten, she was bit by the theatre bug. By fourteen, she had enrolled as a Drama major at the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, FL.

Alongside performance, Sailor Kate is an award-winning playwright currently writing her undergraduate Honors College thesis titled “Examining Musical Theatre’s Feminine Expression Through Soprano Stylization and Intersectional Feminism.” She is proud of her four-leaf and five-leaf clover collection, and continues to find magic in her life and work.
